My life has been full of unexpected twists and turns, including the challenges of experiencing serious mental illness. But I haven’t let that stop me from pursuing my passion for writing and journalism. As a member of Fountain House, I’ve been able to use my skills to make a positive impact on the community. I write articles for the Fountain House Times, poetry for the Fountain Pen, and I’m even the Editor-in-Chief and founder of ROAR, Fountain House’s international clubhouse journal.

Through my work with ROAR, I’ve played a key role in explaining and promoting the clubhouse model, which is a community-based approach to mental health recovery that emphasizes the importance of social connections and meaningful work. I’m proud to have helped spread the word about the transformative power of clubhouse to audiences around the world. My journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s been a testament to the resilience of the human spirit. My passion for writing and my dedication to mental health advocacy have made me an inspiration to others.

In conclusion, my story is an example of the power of perseverance and determination in the face of adversity. My commitment to mental health advocacy and my passion for writing have allowed me to make a significant impact on the community. Through my work with Fountain House and ROAR, I’ve helped to spread the message of hope and recovery to people around the world. My story is a reminder that anyone can make a difference in the world if they have the courage to pursue their dreams and the determination to overcome obstacles.
