Article must be related to mental or behavioral health, a diagnosis, or condition
Word doc preferred
700 words or less
Times New Roman font-type
12-point font
Single spaced. No space between paragraphs
Optional: provide your photo if you are author
Byline or include author’s name (often your name)
Anonymous submissions as well as pen-names accepted
Be creative with your title, subject to editorial change
Subtitle optional—see newspaper pdf on how titles, bylines and subtitles look and how they relate to the article
All submissions are subject to editorial changes for grammar, spelling and to make the author’s voice as clear as possible. Edited versions will be sent to authors for their approval
Do not push medicine non-adherence or advise on how to ween off of medicine. Even if medicines ruined your life, others may not have had your experience. Speak for yourself and not for others.
